First Start:

• Player development is #1
• Introduction to youth sports, motor skills, socialization, and fun in sport
• Volunteer coaches (usually a parent on the team — fee is waived for volunteering!) Want to volunteer to be a coach? Email Maurice@chesapeakeunited.com
• Preparation for the Academy Program
• Registration is sign-up based, there is no evaluation required

Academy:

• Birth Years — 2017, 2018
• Player development is #1
• Preparatory training and games ahead of U9 soccer in Advanced or Competitive
• Licensed, professional coaches trained in player development and management
• Intermediate introduction to youth sports, motor skills, socialization, and fun in sport
• Registration is sign-up based, there is no evaluation required

Advanced:

• Birth Years — 2007 – 2016
• Player development is #1
• Level of play between city recreation program and club-level Competitive (“Travel”) teams
• Volunteer coaches (usually a parent on the team — fee is waived for volunteering!) Want to volunteer to be a coach? Email Mike@chesapeakeunited.com
• Lower commitment than Competitive program, more recreationally based with less of a competitive focus

Competitive:

• Birth Years — 2007 – 2016
• Player development is #1
• Teams compete locally in league play, intra-state for most tournaments, regional and national qualification opportunities available
• Professional coaches who are licensed and trained by US Soccer as well as in-house at Chesapeake United
• Commitment and competition levels are high — this program is for the dedicated soccer player
