The Chesapeake United Winter Training Academy is for any player born from 2008 to 2019 who is looking to continue training and playing the game throughout the winter months.
The CUSC Winter Training Program focuses on improving individual players’ technical (dribbling, shooting, passing/receiving) and tactical (vision, game understanding, positional awareness) ability as well as accelerating their fitness through strength, agility, and conditioning exercises. Utilizing the futsal (indoor soccer) environment as well as outdoor training space affords players the opportunity to improve their touch while also training in larger spaces to create game-like scenarios.
All sessions are planned and facilitated by U.S. Soccer licensed, professional coaching staff at Chesapeake United. The structure of the program is one night of outdoor training and one day of futsal per week. All players are encouraged to attend all twelve sessions of Winter Training though this is not required.

NOTE FOR COMPETITIVE TEAMS: THIS PROGRAM IS INCLUDED IN THE FEES OF COMPETITIVE PLAYERS. IF YOU ARE ON A COMPETITIVE TEAM, YOUR PLAYER IS ALREADY REGISTERED. COMPETITIVE PLAYERS SHOULD CHECK THEIR TEAM BAND PAGE FOR INFORMATION ON TIMES FOR WINTER TRAINING AS THE COMPETITIVE SCHEDULE IS DIFFERENT THAN THE REGISTRANT SCHEDULE.

Program BEGINS: Week of January 5 (first outdoor session is January 7; first indoor session is Jan. 11).
Program ENDS: Week of February 9 (last outdoor session is February 11; last indoor session is Feb. 15).
